Physical education at Rio Grande do Sul during Old Republic - Abstract

This essay wants to display relations between an accessory of schools “gaúchas” Physical Education during Old Republic (1890-1930) and context historical-politic on the state, besides to demonstrate any indications about forming teachers` in this period. Like the whole historical interpretation this trial has suffering limitations by difficulties to be founded informations’ security sources because of data deficiency above Physical Education at Rio Grande do Sul schools. Although these difficulties it tries to demonstrate through these authors examined as Physical Education admitted influences of A. Comte Positivism philosophical thought’s, and how it has estimulating Physical Education development.
