Planning and performance of Physical Education students - Abstract

The discipline of the Teaching Practice is one of the most relevant training areas in the training of future teachers of Physical Education, providing so many moments of learning through teaching contact at the school. This research aims at revealing some elements in the teaching of Physical Education at school intrinsically linked to the planning and performance of students of Physical Education during the discipline of the Teaching Practice. Concerning the methodology, this research is characterized as a qualitative study of case. The subjects, Bachelor of Physical Education students, the Center of Sports and Physical Education, Federal University of Santa Maria answered a questionnaire, which provided the scoring and reinforce the importance of the action plan for the training of future teachers, by using the content analysis. Moreover, with the teaching practice in the discipline exercised it could be noticed that the performance of students was satisfactory, and that they found several ways to meet the needs of teaching. It can be highlighted that during this process of teaching and learning the academic student can develop skills that will help him to develop future plan, organize and deal with education that will meet, as well as working inserted in a team of Physical Education, developing ideas for activities and strategies to better manage classes.
