The present work discourses on the theoretical production concerning the Physical Education history, whose ingression and consolidation in the pertaining to school programs are marked by diverse influences, as the militarism, the hygienist and/or the sportive. Through the search of the expressions “Body Education”, “Education Physica”, “Gymnastica”, “History of the Pertaining to school Physical Education” and “History of the Physical Education”, had been found, by means of the CAPES Bank of Thesis, 25 thesis and 90 dissertations produced in Post Graduate Programs of different areas and localities of the country between the years of 1994 and 2008. Referenced theoretically for the contributions from Education History field, our objective is to investigate, by means of the abstracts, the universe of this historical and writing history production, analyzing more at great length the works ruled in the Body Education and/or the Physical Education or Gymnastica teaching of in educational institutions and/or education legislations, particularly the republican period in Brazil. After this significant literature revision, added to the joint of the workmanship of important field authors, we perceive that it has much that to advance in the research on discipline history of the Physical Education. |
