Factors leading to not participation in classes of Physical Education - Abstract

This study aimed to identify the factors leading to non-participation of students in high school physical education classes in school. From previous studies we can see that the students believe that physical education classes in school do not have much importance and so with the passage of time the students, are feeling especially discouraged for the classes. Thus the methodologies applied in the classroom and the repetition of content in the classroom are the factors that lead to this. For the study in question were interviewed 24 high school students, 12 of the 12 public and private education, with mean age 16 years. The instrument used was a semi-structured questionnaire containing 11 questions that raised about relationship pupil / student and student / teacher, the importance given to school and what could be done to improve them. Obtained as a result of fact that the participation of students is not satisfactory and the diversification of content covered, in addition to discrimination by fellow class of boys, which exclude these activities are factors that cause the non-participation of some students, but but also the students like school.
