The ideology of health and the Physical Education - Abstract

The conception the practice of body activities promotes health is too disseminated and still accepted in our society. Often it is embased by ideological conceptions of health (health as absence of desease or state of complete physical, mental and social well being). Nowadays the conception of health is consolidating in Physical Education is healtn as a merchandise. This conception does not exclude the others ones, but ransoms them in a mercadological perspective. An altemative perspective of health must understand it as expression of historical relationships that human being establishes with lhe natural and social ambiences.
