This essay “Aesthetic, Body and Culture” reveals an actual theme. A common topic of discussion in the daily life of the female and male is the cult of beauty, good shape, lean and tall body, fitness, and absence of cellulite. Talking about what is good, bad and ugly – the esthetic and the corporal culture – is common place in modern society. The same discussion goes on in small cities or metropolis. The idea that underlines the issue is to be “Top”, to stay “Top”. But how to reach the top This bibliographic review sheds light about some relevancies such as: what is the meaning of being fat or lean in the social imaginary?
