Religião e lazer em uma cidade de Minas Colonial - Abstract

The religious feast in the colonial Minas lead us to work on the idea that the sociability spheres and the manifestations of a certain time of leisure, devocion and entertainment in this society, where moulded by the religious factor. It's origins are in the colonial and baroque catholicism with iberics roots, with its ludic profane forms of dramatization and carnavalization. Onde transplanted to Minas Gerais, they assume peculiar styles and features of the ethos and the habits of this society. By this meaning, the religius feast particularizes the civilizing process of Minas establishing somehow codes of conducts and beahaviors present in this society.
